The Auburn Mountainview football staff will be holding a Midsummer Boot Camp, a five-day full-body workout designed to jump-start individual fitness goals.
All ages and ability levels are welcome to attend the Aug. 2-6 camp at the school, located at 28900 124th Ave. SE, Auburn.
Workouts will build core strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning.
Sessions are 6-7 a.m. or 7-8 a.m. daily. Individual fee is $80.
Proceeds from the camp will help support player equipment and gear fees for the season.
The football staff, led by personal fitness trainer B.J. Tucker, a former NFL veteran and collegiate star at Wisconsin, will conduct the camp.
“Many of our players and other fall sports athletes will be attending. But we are having special sections for adults, parents and people at all fitness levels,” said Craig Spence, Mountainview football coach, triathlon trainer, Ironman age-group winner and certified strength coach. “So while you may not be ‘knocking heads’ this fall, we want everyone in great shape for the season.”
