The Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra will present its final “come and see” concert of its 2009-2010 season at 7 p.m. Saturday at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 23855 SE 216th St., Maple Valley.

The concert will feature patriotic favorites such as “Stars and Stripes” and “1812 Overture.” The concert will also feature performances by MVYSO’s smaller ensemble groups.

“It’s been a great season. Ending it with upbeat music and a bang is fitting,” said Elisa Lewis, MVYSO’s executive director.

The orchestra also will be performing for Maple Valley’s Fireworks Celebration in Lake Wilderness Park on the Fourth of July and looks forward to its “Epic Summer Music Camp” in August.

There is a $5 suggested donation for the concert.
