National award-winning poets to present workshops at Finally Found Books

Finally Found Books presents poetry workshops with two national award-winning poets at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19.

The public is invited to attend the program at the bookstore, 3705 Auburn Way N.

Carolyne Wright (American Book Award) is a high-spirited author of “Mania Klepto: the Book of Eulene” (Turning Point, 2011) and eight other critically acclaimed books of poems. She is the creator of the rowdiest, funniest, smartest, most outspoken “shadow agitator” in contemporary poetry,

Wright also is a contributing editor for the Pushcart Prizes; and a senior editor for Lost Horse Press, for which she is editing “Raising Lilly Ledbetter”, an anthology of poems on women and work.

Kate Kingston (W.D. Snodgrass Award for Poetic Endeavor) is the author of “Shaking the Kaleidoscope” (Lost Horse Press, 2012), awarded the Idaho Prize.

In addition, Kate Kingston presents the workshop, Meeting the Challenge of Risk & Skill in Poetry.
