Pacific Ballroom Dance (PBD), an Auburn nonprofit dance studio, performs its annual spring concert, “Our Story,” this weekend at the Auburn Performing Arts Center, 702 Fourth St. NE.
Performances begin at 7 p.m. Friday, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday.
Vignettes of the individual stories of dancers, past and present, will frame the performance. The stories will show audiences how these talented youths are able to bring to the dance floor the experience they have gained from their trials and triumphs in life. The varying styles of pieces will cover a wide range: from Paso Doble to Viennese Waltz to experimental contemporary pieces, including more than a dozen new dances that have been developed during the course of PBD’s 2016-2017 season.
