AuburnFest presents Poetry and Literature Events on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Auburn Community & Event Center in Les Gove Park, 910 Ninth St. SE.
The event is free and open to the public.
Local poets will present workshops and perform readings. A book and small press fair and a take-a-book leave-a-book exchange table will be available.
Schedule:
• 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. – Auburn Poet Laureate Susan Landgraf presents Salish Sea, a poetry writing workshop
• 1-2 p.m. – Lunch break
• 2-4 p.m. – Rose Alley Press founder David D. Horowitz presents a workshop on Rhyme
• 4-7 p.m. – Various featured poets include Landgraf, Raul Sanchez, Cindy Hutchings, Connie Walle, Carl Palmer and Brendan McBreen, along with Poetry Trivia hosted Horowitz
