The beautiful paintings of Joyce Roberts now are on display at Highline Community College’s main campus, Building 25 (Library), fourth floor.
The free exhibit is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. March 11-13, 16-20, 30-31; 8 a.m.-5 p.m. March 23-27; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. March 14; 2-10 p.m., March 15; closed March 21-22 and 28-29.
Roberts specializes in acrylic paintings, but she has also used a wide variety of materials, including pastels, pen and ink, pencil and mixed media, and styles ‑ from realistic to abstract/pop art expressions.
She came to Washington state 38 years ago from the San Francisco Bay Area. Her training includes coursework at the University of California-Berkeley and Cuesta College-San Luis Obispo in California, as well as instruction from professional artists in Seattle, Portland and Morro Bay, Calif.
Her artwork has been exhibited in many Bay Area locations and San Luis Obispo, as well as juried art shows around the Puget Sound.
Roberts’ presentation is being sponsored by the Highline Community College Library Exhibits Committee.
