Comedy at the Ave is back, with Jason Dudey headlining the Bravo series premiere at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at the historic Auburn Ave Theater.
Dudey – born in Wichita, raised in Baltimore, lived in New York and transferred to Los Angeles – grew up in the ideal American family. And with any ideal American family, you know something is being covered up.
“My mom is absolutely crazy, in a good way. My dad is probably the funniest man alive, but has no idea,” Dudey said of his parents. “My mother is German and my dad is a military man, not big talkers about things, but I changed all that. We’ve got some issues people, let’s talk about them.”
A finalist at The World Series of Comedy three years in a row, Dudey also headlines to sold-out audiences throughout the country. He’s appeared on LOGO’s Wisecracks, the OutLaugh Comedy Festival, and at The Laugh Factory. His debut comedy album, Major Dudey, is a critical and commercial success and is available on iTunes.
In 2007 the City of Auburn began the Comedy at the Ave Performance Series, expanding the entertainment offerings that have gone back more than 30 years. Each monthly Comedy at the Ave features three comedians for a variety of entertainment to keep you laughing all night long.
