The Bravo Performing Arts Series kicks off its season Friday with a variety of top acts, including entertainer Eric Haines, jazz singer Kelly Eisenhower and a featured performance from Hook Me Up.
The curtain opens at 7:30 p.m. at the Auburn Avenue Theater, 10 Auburn Ave.
Haines hales from Montana where he began his career with a $10 gig performing at a birthday party. Haines bills his act as “comedy, juggling, music and variety for short attention spans,” and it’s all family friendly.
Eisenhower was the 2010 winner of the Seattle-Kobe Female Vocal Jazz Competition. As an educator, Kelly is a sought-after clinician, has held the vocal jazz director position at Brigham Young University and is the choral director and full-time faculty member at Green River Community College.
Hook Me Up brings together four of the busiest musicians in the Northwest. With an energetic and entertaining instrumental sound, the quartet draws on their wide variety of experiences. HMU features Tracey D. Hooker on trumpet, flugelhorn and vocals; Osama Afifi on bass; Aaron Hennings on drums; and James C. Cochran on keyboards.
The City of Auburn Bravo Performing Arts Series includes music, dance, comedy, film and theater performances for all ages throughout the year. For a full listing of upcoming shows and to order tickets, please visit www.auburnwa.gov/arts.
