Parents found their 5-year-old daughter unconscious in a swimming pool at Pacific around 8:25 p.m. Saturday, the Valley Regional Fire Authority reported.
The girls remained unconscious while Medic One transported her to Seattle Children’s.
The parents called 911 and started CPR. By the time firefighters arrived the patient had vomited up water and started breathing, and had a pulse, the VRFA said.
According to the VRFA, the girl was at a pool party when she got to the deep end of the pool were she was not supposed to be. While the adults were watching the other children the patient fell into the pool and was not found for approximately five minutes. She was taken out of the pool and family members started CPR.
With summer and hot weather here, the VRFA reminds adults to keep an eye on children around water.
