Staff, volunteers and pilots welcomed the public to Airport Appreciation Day at Auburn Municipal Airport on Saturday.
Families and aviation enthusiasts got a closer look at planes of all shapes and sizes, and took in aircraft and others displays.
“This is to recognize the importance of the airport in the city, and to raise awareness … to see what the airport’s all about,” said Ingrid Gaub, public works director for the City of Auburn.
The airport began operations in 1969.
