Kiwanis Division 32 celebrates its centennial on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a one-day service project at Auburn Youth Resources, 936 Auburn Way S.

More than 100 Kiwanians from 10 clubs – including Auburn, Kent, Renton, Federal Way, Black Diamond, Covington and Maple Valley – will converge to give AYR a total makeover, from painting and landscaping to pressure washing and moving dirt and gravel.

The club is placing a time capsule at the site to mark 100 years.

Kiwanians also plan to gather a small group at AYR at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 4, to remove juniper bushes, grind stumps and do other chores.

The Kiwanians chose to make AYR into a campus-like environment from a variety of proposed projects. AYR provides services to low-income youth and families in South King and North Pierce counties. AYR provides clinical, residential and homeless outreach to adolescent substance abuse services to more than 12,000 residents.

Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers who focus on serving one child and one community at a time.

The public is invited to the celebration.
