The 21st annual Guide Dogs of America Charity Golf Tournament is July 15 at Willows Run Golf Course in Redmond.
The tournament is sponsored by Machinists Union District Lodge 751 and is a fundraiser for Guide Dogs of America. The California-based charity provides guide dogs and instruction in their use free of charge to blind and visually impaired people from the United States and Canada.
The tournament will be a scramble format, with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. A trophy will be awarded to the first-place team, along with $100 to each member of that winning team. A chance to win individual prizes will be offered for the longest drive, hole-in-one and closest to the pin, with a 50/50 payout. Other prizes will be raffled off after the tournament.
The tournament is limited to 280 players, and the deadline to register a team is June 15.
Entry forms are available at District 751 union halls around Puget Sound, including the Auburn Hall at 201 A St. SW. Specific information is available by calling the Everett Hall at 425-335-8821.
