Auburn International Farmers Market: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Sundays, June 13-Sept. 26, Auburn Station Plaza, 23 A St. SW. Opening for its second season. More than 35 vendors offering a variety of fresh locally grown farmed based foods, hand-crafted items and concession stands that are restaurant based but feature a home-cooked taste. The weekly market also will include free performances, guest chef with farm fresh ingredients, children’s activities from face painting to hands on activities to storytelling. Community electronics recycling: 9 a.m.-3 p.m., June 18, 20; 9 a.m.-4 p.m., June 19, American Electronics Recycling Corp, South Center South Industrial park off West Valley Highway in Tukwila (18435 Olympic Ave. S., Suite B-100). Residents are welcome to recycle all TVs, PCs, laptops and monitors for free. A variety of other electronic items will be accepted, but a small disposal fee may be charged. Diversity Day: June 23, Cascade Middle School, 1015 24th St. NE, Auburn. “We All Belong” event will kick off with an all-school assembly featuring keynote speaker Richard Thomas, a graduate from Kentwood High School and former football player at the University of Washington and Baltimore Ravens. Thomas will share a positive message about building an inclusive campus culture and also discuss the topics of bullying and race relations. The day will conclude with a special assembly for eighth-graders highlighting their upcoming transition into high school and a special assembly for sixth- and seventh-graders.

KidsDay: 11 a.m.-4 p.m., June 25, Les Gove Park, 1005 12th St. SE. Free to the public. The event is specifically designed for youth in the Auburn area. The event features an entertainment stage, inflatable rides, mini golf, kids’ crafts, face painting, food vendors, more than 50 activity/information vendors and more. In addition, city officials will dedicate the new Barrier-Free Playground and sensory garden, an innovative 32,000-square-foot area placed inside the heart of the park. The event is being presented by the City of Auburn Parks, Arts and Recreation Department, Radio Disney AM 1250, Fred Meyer and Wizards of the Coast. 4th of July Festival: 11 a.m.-4 p.m., July 4, Les Gove Park, 1005 12th St. SE, Auburn. Hometown event features a kids’ bike parade, live entertainment on two stages, eight inflatable rides, climbing wall and euro-bungy trampolines, trackless train, petting zoo and pony carousel, bingo, bocce, a car show, lazer tag, gaming stations, more than 50 craft artists, book sale, food concessions and spray park. White River Chainsaw Carving Championships: July 9-11, Pacific City Park, 600 3rd Ave. SE, Pacific. A 12-person field will compete for cash and prizes. The championships – part of Pacific Days (4-9 p.m., July 9; 11 a.m.-9 p.m., July 10; 11 a.m.-4 p.m., July 11) – will expand to a larger area and include a supervised beer garden, featuring microbrews by Trade Route Brewing of Pacific. Terry Home, Inc., a boarding home for young adult survivors of traumatic brain injury, is transforming the property’s existing stormwater pond into a Boggy Garden. The SmileMobile, a 38-foot dental clinic on wheels, is sponsored by the Washington Dental Service in partnership with Seattle Children’s Hospital. The SmileMobile provides dental care to children from low- income families.
