Pacific Parks Pick-up Plus: 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., April 16. City of Pacific celebrates Earth Day with a community-wide cleanup effort. Second annual Seahawks 12K Run at The Landing: 7:30-11 a.m., April 10, The Landing, 828 N. 10th Place, Renton. A benefit for the Renton/Skyway Boys & Girls Club. The Federal Way & Auburn Boys and Girls Club and EX3 Teen Center’s 19th annual Breakfast for Kids fundraiser: 7:30 a.m., April 12, Emerald Downs, 2300 Emerald Downs Drive, Auburn. Seattle Mariners General Manager Jack Zduriencik is the keynote speaker. Proceeds go to student scholarships as well as educational, cultural and sports programs that benefit more than 3,500 deserving youth in South King County. Attendees are asked to make a contribution. While the program seeks major donors to help underwrite the event, the actual per person cost of the event is about $25. Main St. on the second floor.  Also,  Monday and Tuesday mornings at the Auburn Senior Activity Center, beginning Feb. 1. If you need help with your taxes, free help is available in Auburn for those making less than $50,000 per year and those over 50 years of age. Help with Spanish and Tagalog speaking clients also is available.  No appointment is necessary and agents will be available through April 15. Quality Tax preparation is provided by IRS-certificated, multilingual volunteers. This is a free service for households making less than $50,000; citizenship not necessary and electronic filling will be utilized for faster refunds. Those interested in the tax preparation assistance should bring all applicable tax forms and a bank account number (checking or savings) to have your refund directly deposited into your account. Service is only for basic tax returns only (no business taxes, rental income or sale of property or stock). For more information on the United Way Tax Preparation Program, call 206-349-9337. ‘Disney’s High School Musical’: 7:30 p.m., March 10-12, March 17-19, Auburn Performing Arts Center, 700 E. Main St. Presented by the Auburn Actors’ Guild.  Based on the popular Disney Channel original movie, Disney’s High School Musical follows Gabriella, a shy, brainy new student and Troy, the captain of the basketball team as they discover a love for singing and audition for their high school musical. Their attempt to break out of their cliques turns their world and their school upside down. Avenue Kids presents 5th Avenue Theater, Rosie the Riveter: 2 p.m., March 12, Auburn Avenue Theater, 10 Auburn Ave. The can-do spirit of the 1940s comes to the Ave in this fast, funny, inspirational musical adventure – the story of the women who joined the workforce, drove the taxis, paved the highways and yes, riveted the airplanes when the men marched off to war. Free spay/neuter vouchers for cats: South County Cats is issuing 25 additional free spay/neuter vouchers for cat owners in South King County. Vouchers are valid for 30 days at eight local veterinary clinics and Coalition Humane spay/neuter clinics.
