BASKETBALL

AUBURN PARKS ADULT 5-ON-5 BASKETBALL LEAGUE: This is a 5 on 5 league with officials, awards and playoffs. Teams will play 10 games. There is a mandatory coaches meeting at 7 p.m. on Dec. 21 at the Parks, Arts & Recreation Administration Building, 910 Ninth St. SE. Registrations received after Dec. 1 are assessed $25 late fee. Age 18 and over. Four roster forms must be turned in by the registration deadline for this registration to be accepted. SOCCER

AUBURN PARKS FUTSAL INDOOR SOCCER: Futsal is 5 on 5 indoor soccer played on a basketball court. This is an unofficiated league no awards, standings or playoffs. Field players must be 2 male & 2 female, goalie can be of either gender. All players must be a minimum of 18 years old. HOCKEY

SNO-KING BEGINNERS PROGRAM: The Sno-King Junior Thunderbirds will offer a year-round, beginners-level program for boys and girls ages 5-10. No skating experience is necessary. The program will be on Saturdays at Castle Ice in the Renton Highlands, or at Kingsgate Ice Arena in Kirkland. Players are welcome to join at any time. ICE SKATING

LEARN TO SKATE CLASSES: An eight-week series with group and private lessons for boys, girls and adults is being offered at KENT VALLEY ICE CENTRE. Instruction is based on criteria set forth by the Ice Skating Institute. Skating classes are a solid starting point for those interested in figure skating or hockey. BASEBALL

All coaches are certified through the National Youth Sport Coaches Association and must clear a Washington State Patrol background check. AUBURN PARKS ADULT SPORTS LEAGUE INDIVIDUAL PLAYER REGISTRATION: This program is for registration of individual players that wish to play on adult sports league teams during the year 2011. All players must be a minimum of 18 years old. If you are a free agent looking to be placed on a team please complete this registration and then send an email to sportsleagues@auburnwa.gov with what league you are wishing to get placed on. This is intended for individual players registering for and agreeing to the assumption of risk waiver form for themselves only. AUBURN GOLF COURSE OFF-SEASON PASSES: are now on sale at Auburn Golf Course, 29630 Green River Road S.E. Options include either a monthly pass with unlimited play, or a monthly pass with weekday play options. AUBURN PARKS TENNIS LESSONSADULT INTERMEDIATE: Participants will fine tune skills and learn and develop strategy for match play. Instruction will be in a ‘team tennis style’ practice atmosphere with both fundamental instruction and match play. Tennis experience is necessary. It is recommended that participants receive lessons prior to enrollment. Pre-requisite: minimum beginning lessons. Adult lessons are for anyone age 14 and older. Registrants are required to supply their own tennis racket and one can of new unopened tennis balls. AUBURN PARKS BEGINNING BOOT CAMP: Are you ready to get into the best shape of your life? You can with this 6-week military style fitness boot camp. This class is ideal for the beginner or if you have been away from working out for a while. The class is focused on circuit-style training exercises which give you an overall cardiovascular and muscle building workout. Each class consists of stretching and warm-up exercises, a 30-40 minute circuit training phase and cool-down stretches that will increase your overall strength, endurance and flexibility. AUBURN PARKS PILATES CLASSES: Pilates combines elements of yoga, weight training and breath work. AUBURN PARKS AKI-JUJITSU:The class encompasses basic training in three unique contemporary martial disciplines. Aikido, Brazilian Ju-Jitsu and Combative Martial Arts. Training is strictly defensive and non-competitive in nature. Training will employ the use of throws, pins, locks, holds and some basic striking.
