The annual Auburn Elks Hoop Shoot will unfold at 10 a.m. Oct. 23 at the Auburn High School gymnasium, located at 800 4th St. NE.

The event is open to boys and girls, ages 8-13. Age groups are 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13.

Contestants must be 8 years old as of April 1, 2011 and cannot turn 14 before April 1, 2011. Contestant age groups are determined by ages as of April 1, 2011. Proof of age is required (birth certificate, passport, baptismal certificate).

Winners will advance to the district level.
