The community – including Auburn Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1741, the American Legion, Mayor Pete Lewis, members of the City Council, the Inter-Tribal Warrior Society and Boy Scout Troops 398 and 401 – took time to honor those who have died serving in the U.S. armed forces during a Memorial Day service at Mountain View Cemetery’s Memorial Flag Plaza on Monday.
Auburn Mountainview High School soloist Nicole Costa, below, sang the national anthem and “America the Beautiful” during the ceremony, which included comments from Lewis, Post 1741 Commander Tony Dohse and Chaplain Michael Hursh.
