The City of Auburn Emergency Management Office promoted National Disaster Preparedness month by hosting Auburn’s fourth annual Community Disaster Preparedness Fair last Saturday at the Les Gove Community Campus in Auburn.

The City of Auburn and the White River Valley Citizen Corps Council sponsored the fair.

The event featured disaster preparedness information, ideas, demonstrations and supplies. There were activities, including informational booths, vendor booths, disaster response demonstrations, hands-on activities for kids and adults and preparedness information.

Experts also were on-hand to discuss issues surrounding potential flooding from the Green River and to provide information to businesses regarding contingency and continuity planning.
