Auburn Mountainview teacher named Rising Star

The Journalism Education Association has named Stephanie Keagle, language arts teacher at Auburn Mountainview High School, a 2012 Rising Star.

The Journalism Education Association has named Stephanie Keagle, language arts teacher at Auburn Mountainview High School, a 2012 Rising Star.

Keagle will be honored on April 14 during the JEA/NSPA Spring National High School Journalism Convention in Seattle.

The Rising Star Awards recognize teachers with one to five years of journalism teaching and/or advising experience who demonstrate a commitment to journalism education and show promise as up-and-coming advisers.

Keagle was the only adviser selected from Washington State, and one of only eight honored nationwide.
