Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between April 9 and 14:

April 9

Fraud: 1516 Auburn Way N. My Town Motors reported that three payroll checks had been forged and cashed between March 1 and April 9.

April 10

Theft: Overnight, 707 37th St. SE. Somebody stole a Mongoose silver BM bike with custom wheels, valued at $150, from an unlocked shed in its owner’s backyard at Spaid Unique Mobile Manor.

Theft: 4:30 p.m., 2700 block of S Street Southeast. Somebody stole a GPS unit from a parked vehicle.

April 12

Weapons offense: 11:30 a.m., 3800 block of H Street Northeast. Someone shooting from outside a woman’s apartment blasted a bullet through her bedroom wall.

April l3

Resisting arrest: 1:56 p.m., 1416 Harvey Road NE. When officers caught up with a man whose legs had been doing their very best to skedaddle from them, they busted and later booked him into jail on two outstanding felony warrants and multiple new charges.

Controlled substance: 10:22 p.m., 801 Auburn Way N. Police arrested a man for theft and for having heroin about his person.

Theft: 12:30 p.m., 1221 30th St. SE. Somebody stole an undisclosed amount of money from an apartment laundry, and in the process tipped a machine over and disconnected its water pipes.

Theft: 3:10 p.m., 5600 block of South 316th Street. While a woman was playing with her children on the playground of Evergreen Heights Elementary School, somebody slipped into her car through the driver’s side door, uncovered her purse on the passenger floorboard and ran off with it.

April 14

Scram! 1:08 p.m., 502 Clay St. NW. For indiscretions undisclosed, two adults got the news that they wouldn’t be allowed to hang around the PSE substation on Clay Street until 2015.

Vandalism: 2:30 p.m., 1100 Auburn Way S. A man learned that throwing a knife at City property may get a body arrested.

Forgery: 4 p.m., 12401 SE 320th St. According to police, an unknown person used a fraudulent bill to pay for parking at Green River Community College.

Trespassing: 1:53 p.m., 1435 Auburn Way S. For who knows what indiscretions undisclosed — perhaps bad deeds lubricated by caffeine — a man and a south-end Starbucks parted ways until 2016.
