Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Aug. 3 and Aug. 7:
Aug. 3
Vandalism: 9:12 a.m., 10 block of R Place Northeast. Unknown egg chuckers chucked eggs at somebody’s house.
Traffic offense: 2:11 p.m., 2000 block of A Street Southeast. Police arrested two kids for racing on A Street Southeast.
Twisted theft: 5 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. When the hard working pretzel makers at Auntie Ann’s at the SuperMall handed a guy his treat, he not only took back the bill he had just handed over, he took the pretzel, too.
Arson: 6:40 p.m., 5960 Terrace View Lane SE. Persons unknown entered an empty apartment at Belara on Terrace View Lane Southeast and used unknown means to start a fire on the outer deck.
Weapons offense: 5:30 p.m., 2500 M St. SE. An unknown passenger of a green Chrysler flashed a silver revolver at a pedestrian as he walked south on M Street Southeast near Cedar Lanes Park.
Theft: Overnight, 11000 SE 291st St. Thieves stole a camera, a GPS and a laser tool from two vehicles. Police did not disclose a value for the missing items.
Theft: 4 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Somebody stole a Visa card from a victim, gender and approximate age undisclosed, at the SuperMall, then used it many times to coax goodies from vending machines.
Aug. 4
Theft: 11:51 a.m., 2200 block of O Place Northeast. Somebody stole an undisclosed amount cash from a cigarette box at a private residence.
Driving under the influence: 6:47 p.m., 4100 Kersey Way SE. An officer stopped a car after learning that its occupants had thrown pop cans at oncoming traffic. Three young men ran from the car, but police caught up with one guy, arresting him for obstructing and resisting arrest. Police arrested the young woman behind the wheel for DUI and for driving with a suspended license.
Aug. 5
More trespassing at the casino: 10:20 p.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. A man told to beat it from the Muckleshoot Casino and never come back just the night before found the bit about “never again” too tough to grasp or couldn’t stop his feet from carrying him there because thither he went and got himself arrested.
Aug. 7
Driving under the influence of something: 1:19 p.m., 200 block of East Main Street. Police arrested a woman for DUI after stopping her for driving with a couch on top of her vehicle, which had not been adequately secured.
