Aug. 16

Theft: 12:45 p.m., 762 Outlet Collection Drive SW. A thief took somebody else’s wallet and slithered off with it.

Trespassing: 3 p.m., 25 W. Main St. A troublemaker whom police had told months earlier not to show his carcass again at Auburn City Hall showed his carcass again at Auburn City Hall, and police arrested said carcass.

Unlawful burning: 6 p.m., 620 37th St. SE. A suspicious fire ignited near Mt. Baker Middle School.

Aug. 18

Agency assist: 11:04 a.m., 31600 126th Avenue SE. A law firm in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan found itself the victim of fraud after it wired $20,000 to a bank account in Kent, whose holder lives in Auburn.

Under the influence: 906 p.m., 1000 C St. NW. Police arrested a guy who had driven his vehicle onto BNSF Railroad property and gotten himself stuck next to the tracks.

Aug. 19

Stray cat: 9:22 a.m., 4248 A St. SE. A severely injured stray cat had to be put to sleep at Sumner Veterinary Hospital.

Trespassing: 6:33 a.m., 226 E. Main St. From the empty Rottle’s store police removed a man who shouldn’t have been there.

Recovered stolen property: 6:59 p.m., 1000 block of 18th Street Northeast. A woman found a stolen handgun.

Theft from vehicle: 6 p.m., 4826 B St. NW. Somebody swiped a ladder rack from a company vehicle.

Aug. 22

Royal theft: 3:45 p.m., 320 Auburn Way S. Somebody stole something undisclosed from the outraged court of the Burger King.

Burglary: Overnight, 31100 block of 116th Avenue Southeast. Several chainsaws disappeared from a shed behind a home.

Shoplifting: 6:50 a.m., 1156 Auburn Way S. A male looted lighters from a Chevron in Auburn.

Animal cruelty: 5:11 p.m., 2901 Auburn Way S. While being evicted from an apartment, a tenant abandoned several animals. Said tenant later showed up at the scene and police arrested him or her on the witness of an outstanding warrant and transported the animals to the Auburn Valley Humane Society.
