Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Jan. 20 and 26:
Jan. 20
Trespassing: 10:28 a.m., 1102 Auburn Way S. A male whom police had previously booted from the Auburn Library and Les Gove Park for fighting got into another fracas in the library, so police busted him for criminal trespassing. Police could not find the dude he’d fought.
Robbery with a knife: 8:19 p.m., 11800 SE 320th St. Having pulled a knife on a Green River Community College student, three robbers took his wallet, his cellphone and his backpack.
Jan. 21
Theft: 9:35 a.m., 3705 W. Valley Highway N. Somebody broke into a trailer and stole power tools, their kind, make and value just one of those Auburn police mysteries.
Jan. 24
Theft: 6:45 a.m., 1302 W. Main. St. An Auburn business reported the theft of scrap metal from its yard. An employee told officers he had seen a teal mini van with two men fleeing the scene.
Theft: 2:58 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A man smashed a pickup’s window and stole tools and a cellphone while the vehicle was parked at the Outlet Collection mall. A witness described the suspect to police.
Theft: 6 p.m., 1800 block of M Street Southeast. While a woman was on her way to a store, somebody stole the purse from the back of her wheelchair.
Vandalism: 9:30 p.m., 1807 Howard Road SE. Somebody damaged a vehicle’s tires in a parking lot.
Jan. 25
Vandalism: 8:43 a.m., 790 Auburn Way N. Rock chuckers chucked rocks through the windows of several business businesses, though nobody knows the day or time.
Assault with a knife: 11:31 a.m., 3700 block of A Street Southeast. As a man was walking home from the Spunky Monkey, an unknown assailant pulled out a knife and stabbed him in his left bicep. The victim told police that when the assault was unfolding, he thought the man was trying to rob him, but the stabber ran off without having tried to take anything. The victim told police that he thought the assault may have been related to an unreported theft of his belongings a month earlier. An ambulance transported the man to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center, where doctors treated his deep laceration.
Jan. 26
Trespassing: 9:05 a.m., 1009 Auburn Way S. For acts of wrongdoing undisclosed, the Old Farmers Market pitched a man and woman clean out of its yard for five years.
Burglary: 8 a.m., 104 10th St. NE. Somebody tampered with an exterior door to an electrical utility room at the Auburn Court Apartments and got in.
Assault with hands and fists: 1:52 p.m., 2330 I St. NE. A man tried to strangle a woman whom he had previously dated.
Vandalism: Overnight, Kersey Way Southeast and Evergreen. Somebody vandalized a directional sign.
