CPS referral: 8 a.m., 1500 block of A Street Southeast. Auburn police found a boy wandering the streets of Auburn, alone.

Theft from vehicle: Overnight, 0 block of 14th Street Northwest. Somebody got into an unlocked tool box on a work truck and stole tools, make and value unspecified.

Trespassing: 10:18 a.m., 3409 M Place SE. Person A didn’t want person B around any longer, and so arranged with police B’s official expulsion from A’s apartment.

Trespassing: 11:54 p.m., 500 Auburn Way S. A woman got herself removed from the BNSF railway and property.

Bogus bills: 5:40 p.m., 3920 A St. SE. A man tried to use a counterfeit bill at two businesses.

Forgery: 10 p.m., 2202 Auburn Way N. A man paid for pizza with two bogus $20 bills, and got away with it.

July 3

Felony eluding: 5:40 a.m., 1000 Auburn Way S. Police got involved in the pursuit of a reckless driver.

Tire slashing: Overnight, 410 block of 7th Street Southeast. An Auburn resident complained that a homeless acquaintance had slashed a tire on his vehicle after he, the resident, had declined to answer his door when the man came a-knocking, the latest installment in the fellow’s many-seasoned mooch for money.

Burglary: Overnight, 1428 15th St. NW. A business owner found burglars had broken into his secured yard and stolen gas out of work trucks.

Forgery: 2:17 p.m., 18 Auburn Way N. Police arrested a man for having tried to pass a check he had stolen from his granny and forged.

Shoplifting: 4:37 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A man stole undisclosed property and fled a business. A store employee grabbed the bag with said stolen property. The suspect, sans bag, fled on foot. Police arrested said bagless shoplifter in the business’ parking lot.

Disorderly conduct: 10 p.m., 1818 Emerald Downs Drive NW. Two woman got into fisticuffs at Emerald Downs.

July 5

Vandalism: 9 a.m., 501 15th St. NE. The manager of the Taco Bell called police to report vandalism to two signs belonging to the restaurant.

Occurrence of malicious mischief: Overnight, 2010 block of Dogwood Drive Southeast. “A malicious mischief occurred,” involving, presumably, some act of undisclosed mischief, done maliciously.
