Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between July 11 and 14:
July 11
Vandalism: 6:25 a.m., 620 37th St. SE. Somebody, in some way, vandalized a window to some extent and at some expense to the public at Mt. Baker Middle School.
Smoking what he ought not: 12:03 p.m., 642 L St. SE. Police found this man in a vacant Section 8 residence, and when they asked him to scram and he wouldn’t, they busted him and, lo, found methamphetamine.
Prostitution: 1:33 p.m., 2400 Auburn Way N. Police arrested a man for patronizing a prostitute — one specimen out of a group of men who met the same fate, at the same place, on the same night for the same reason.
July 12
Vandalism: 8 a.m., 2500 block of M Street Northeast. Somebody keyed 5 feet of a man’s car, leaving behind $150 worth of damage for him to deal with.
Disorderly conduct: 7:57 p.m., 1500 block of I Street Northeast. For conducting himself in an undisclosed way, but which officers deemed not orderly, police busted a male person.
July 13
Commercial burglary: 7 a.m., 0 block of 16th Street Northwest. A woman discovered that at some point over the past year, burglars had scoured her rental storage unit at Public Storage.
Vandalism: Overnight, 100 block of D Street Northwest. Somebody bearing a grudge shattered a man’s windshield and dented his roof.
Disorderly conduct: 6 p.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. Police busted a woman at the Muckleshoot Casino for disorderly conduct and for exposing herself indecently.
Vehicle threatener: 7:28 p.m., 500 block of Quincy Avenue Southeast. Someone threatened to damage a man’s vehicle someday.
Animal problem: 3:29 p.m., 1000 block of 17th Street Northeast. A police officer found a friendly black and white pit bull with a pink collar and no tag.
July 14
Commercial burglary: 3 a.m., 2416 E St. NE. A thief drove away from a fenced storage yard at Fitz Towing with a 1984 Pontiac Fiero coupe.
Recovered stolen property: 10 p.m., 900 block of 31st Street Northeast. A man found his neighbor’s mail in his roommate’s room.
Trespassing: 10:49 p.m., 2455 F St. SE. Sierra Meadows gave two misbehaving dudes the old “You’re outta here!”
Theft: 2:20 p.m., 701 A St. NW. Somebody swiped fire connection units from a business.
