June 2

Theft from motor vehicle: 10:54 a.m., 1100 block of 27th Street Southeast. Police didn’t say what was stolen, but somebody thieved something with some sort of value from a motor vehicle.

Prowl: Overnight, 800 block of 24th Street Northeast. An unknown suspect entered somebody’s vehicle, looking for items to steal.

Fraud: 7:45 p.m., 1347 Auburn Way N. A male and female – old, young, somewhere in between, police didn’t say – tried to pay for groceries at an undisclosed store – it was Albertsons – with three counterfeit $20 bills made on bogus paper.

Theft: 8:43 p.m., 1702 Auburn Way N. Police arrested two boys for shoplifting undisclosed items worth undisclosed amounts from an undisclosed store, which turned out to be Top Foods.

Forgery: 9:03 p.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a woman for forgery at the Muckleshoot Casino and booked her into the Auburn jail.

June 5

Theft from building: 3 p.m., 5000 block of Auburn Way North. Somebody stole a $1,200 silver certificate from an undisclosed building.

June 6

Animal problem: 7:14 a.m., 900 block of 12th Street Northeast. A man reported that a dog charged and attacked his pooch.

Shoplifting: 10:26 a.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Somebody shoplifted food items from an undisclosed store, a store that turned out to be Safeway.

Controlled substance: 9:57 a.m., 1600 block of 15th Street Southwest. Police stopped a man for failing to transfer title within 45 days and found him in possession of MDMA. a drug commonly known as a date-rape drug. Officers arrested and booked him into the Auburn Jail.

Shoplifting: 4:37 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Police arrested a man and a boy for thievery at Burlington Coat Factory. Both fibbed about the boy’s identity, but the truth came out at the Auburn Jail.

Traffic offense: 10:35 p.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. Police made a traffic stop near the Muckleshoot Casino and began the usual round of questions, but the man behind the wheel refused to cooperate or give information. OK, he did give information, but tried to claim he was was his brother. Police learned who the man really was via a fingerprint check at the Auburn Jail. What he was was an aggravated felon who already been deported. Looks like he’ll be deported again.

June 7

Theft from vehicle: 5:30 a.m., 1200 block of O Street Northeast. Somebody stole a bag of Milwaukee power tools and a laptop from a commercial plumbing truck. Police did not disclose a value for the missing items.

Theft of bike: 2:57 p.m., 2200 block of 2nd Street Southeast. A person or persons unknown stole somebody’s bike while he or she was fishing in the Green River. Police did not disclose a value for the bike.

Shoplifting: 4 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Police arrested two girls for shoplifting undisclosed items from Burlington Coat Factory and released them to their mother.
