Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between June 16 and June 21:
June 16
Theft: 6 a.m., 1100 block of 37th Street Southeast. Someobody swiped a hydraulic jack from a work truck. Police did not disclose a value for the loss.
Burglary: 6 a.m., 800 4th Street Northeast. Somebody or perhaps several somebodies broke into the Auburn High School auto shop and stole several storage containers.
Vandalism: 8:14 a.m., 300 block of M Street Southeast. Somebody punctured a woman’s tires with a knife.
Burglary: 9:50 p.m., 3900 block of Auburn Way N. A manager of Poulsbo RV told police that burglars broke into a fifth-wheel trailer and stole a flat-screen television. An employee checking the parking lot of the dealership saw a truck leave the area at a high rate of speed, but the incident was not reported until the next day.
June 20
Theft from motor vehicle: Noon, 1101 Supermall Way SW. Somebody stole $300 worth of items from a SuperMall employee’s car while it was parked at the mall and inflicted $750 worth of damage upon the car. The thief pulled the center console out and took the AM/FM/CD player from the in-dash mount.
Shoplifting: 4:48 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Police arrested a woman for stealing $24.98 worth of items from Marshall’s at the SuperMall. Loss prevention agents saw the woman pick up perfume, remove the tags and place said perfume in her purse, then follow the same procedure with a black shirt before leaving the store without paying. That’s where security caught up with her. She was later banned from returning to the SuperMall for one year.
Burglary: 4:34 p.m., 10900 block of Southeast 284th Street. A woman saw a neighbor’s garage being burglarized of a chain saw.
June 21
Theft: Midnight, 4000 block of Auburn Way South. A man told police that a woman who had been staying with him from time to time stole various undisclosed items from his residence.
Theft: 4:07 p.m., 2400 block of F Street Southeast. A woman told police that somebody had stolen undisclosed medications and cash from her.
Fraud: 3 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. A man told police that a credit card that had been stolen during a recent vehicle prowl was used fraudulently at three undisclosed locations in Auburn.
Shoplifting: 5:20 p.m., 1057 Supermall Way SW. Two women stole two pairs of Jeans from Marshalls at the SuperMall, so police followed up by making two arrests.
Arson: 7:35 p.m., 12700 block of Southeast 312th Street. Three youths playing with fire set a Dumpster ablaze, which spread and damaged a garage. Police interviewed the kids and their parents.
Disorderly conduct: 10:35 p.m., 800 E. Main St. Police arrested a man for disorderly conduct after people saw him walking in front of vehicles in the roadway, drunk.
