March 14

Theft: 6:10 p.m., 210 block of 2nd Street Northeast. A male reported that his laptop had been stolen, possibly by another person, known, according to police, for his conspicuous maleness.

Theft: Overnight, 136 21st St. SE. A man complained that somebody had cut the fuel line on his work truck and stolen the petrol.

Under the influence: 8:51 a.m. Police arrested somebody for being on something or other while he or she was in control of a vehicle.

Controlled substance: 11:52 a.m., 1425 Supermall Way SW. The combination of illegal drugs on his person and a warrant with his name on it was enough to get a male booked and jailed.

Theft: 2 p.m., 762 Supermall Drive SW. Somebody reached into a woman’s shopping cart and swiped her purse, contents undisclosed.

Fugitive from justice: 3 p.m., 340 E. Main St. A young fugitive from justice turned himself in to the Auburn Police Department and police arrested him.

Shoplifting: 5:30 p.m., 762 Supermall Drive SW. Police busted a female for shoplifting something from a local department store and later booked her on a felony warrant.

Burglary: 8 p.m, 2300 block of L Street Northeast. Somebody burglarized a man’s home.

March 17

Trespassing: 6:13 a.m., 601 Auburn Way S. Management of a 76 Station told a male who by means unknown had rendered himself obnoxious to hit the road and not to come back any more.

Trespassing: 1:11 p.m., 200 block of North Division Street. The trespassing admonishment wasn’t enough to keep one woman away from the MultiCare Auburn Medical Center, and when she returned to the forbidden venue, police arrested her. She returned the favor by showing hostility toward officers and jail staff.

Animal problem: 1:52 p.m., 4910 A St. SE. Somebody dropped an injured, non-domesticated wild rabbit at the Auburn Valley Humane Society shelter whereupon it got a free ride to a veterinarian clinic in the 700 block of Auburn Way North and treatment for its injuries.

Hit and run: 1:38 p.m., 1400 block of Auburn Way North. Somebody identified the face of a hit-and-run suspect from a photo montage.

Theft from church: 5:40 p.m., 505 17th St. SE. Somebody stole money from Holy Family Catholic Church.

Shoplifting: 5:59 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Police arrested a guy for stealing sunglasses from Marshalls. Turns out, he also had a meth pipe on himself.

Theft: 7:16 p.m., 144 E. Main St. A woman tried to skip out on paying her bill at the Home Plate Tavern, whereat management took great offense and police busted her.
