Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Oct. 21 and 27:
Oct. 21
Burglary: Overnight, 1701 Pike St. NW. The operations manager of a company called to report that somebody had stolen a padlock and some wooden pallets from his business overnight.
Burglary: 3:11 p.m., 210 44th St. NW. Somebody used a crowbar to try to pry open a side door open on a business. Didn’t work, and the burglar left the crowbar behind.
Theft: 12:50 p.m., 12401 SE 320th St. Having called Auburn Police to report a vehicle prowl in progress, Green River Community College campus security kept at least one set of working eyeballs on one suspect until police arrived. Police then took the guy into custody and transported him to the SCORE jail for booking.
Theft: Over the weekend, 28900 124th Avenue S. Thieves ripped off an unknown quantity of copper wire from light poles at Auburn Mountainview High School.
Theft of purse: 8:15 p.m., 1100 Auburn Way S. A woman left her purse unattended at Les Gove Park, and somebody swiped it.
Oct. 24
Burglary: Overnight, 904 Auburn Way N. Burglars hit a local toner company and stole a computer.
Trespassing: 12:39 p.m., 2790 Auburn Way S. An AM/PM man told a man to stay away from its store around the clock.
Wire cutters: 11:30 a.m., 12725 SE 312th St. A person or persons unknown cut wiring from a man’s utility trailer.
Theft: 2:32 p.m.., 101 Auburn Way S. A male of some age or other filched several bottles of booze from Safeway.
Bike theft: 2:12 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Somebody stole a guy’s bike outside Safeway.
Vandalism: 3 p.m., 4248 A St. SE. In the wee small hours of the morning, somebody spray-painted a man’s car with graffiti.
Shoplifting: 6:40 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A man and a woman selected shoes from a store display and concealed them in a bag, but having neglected to pay for the items before leaving the store, were busted.
Theft: 11:12 p.m., 1400 Lake Tapps Parkway SE. Thieves struck numerous vehicles near the Lakeland Hills Top Foods.
Theft: Overnight, 1400 block of 22nd Street Northeast. Somebody stole a resident’s generator.
Theft: Overnight, 630 block of C Street Southwest. A resident reported the theft of his or her trailer generator.
Oct. 27
Theft: 7:30 a.m., 2117 Auburn Way S. A thief or thieves broke into a car at the Muckleshoot Bingo Hall and stole personal items.
Trespassing: 9:34 a.m., 1344 17th St. SE. Auto Pointe Sales gave a misbehaving so-and-so the boot.
Theft: 5:35 p.m., 1808 B St. NW. A man was working when somebody stole his handgun and wallet from his unlocked vehicle.
