Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Nov. 10 and Nov. 16:
Nov. 10
Fraud: 7:44 p.m., 300 block of 4th Street Northeast. Somebody used a woman’s name and her personal information to file a bogus tax return.
Disorderly conduct: 11:15 a.m., 2200 block of Auburn Way N. Police arrested a guy for “unlawful transit conduct,” whatever that is.
Bike theft: 11:39 p.m., 1531 Auburn Way N. While a man was chowing under the Golden Arches, somebody stole his bicycle.
Theft: 5 p.m., 340 E. Main St. Somebody stole a dehumidifier from a man’s place of work.
Theft: 4:20 p.m., 801 Auburn Way N. Somebody lifted the removable headlight from a man’s bike.
Shoplifting: 6:30 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A man stole shoes from a store and ran off with them.
Theft: 10 a.m., 958 28th St. NE. At some moment over the weekend, somebody thieved from an unlocked vehicle a Marine Corps knife.
Theft: 4:50 p.m., 1509 Auburn Way S. While a man was shopping in an area store, somebody stole his unlocked bike.
Theft: 3:30 p.m., 30500 block of 133rd Avenue Southeast. A woman told police that “two white girls, 18-20s, with curly, dirty blonde hair” who “was snooping in her back yard” took off with a pair of shoes, ran onto a private road two houses down from her home and hopped into a waiting getaway car. The theft, she told police, occurred in the context of many recent car thefts and house break-ins in her neighborhood.
Nov. 11
Shoplifting: 8:05 a.m., 762 Outlet Collection Drive SW. A male snatched up two computers from the Walmart superstore and fled out an emergency exit.
Wandering pooch: 12:40 p.m., 33026 52nd Avenue S. Somebody spotted a white poodle with no tags.
Animal cruelty: 5 p.m., 29600 block of 130th Way Southeast. Somebody armed with a BB or a pellet gun aimed their aggrievement at a dog and blasted the poor creature.
Theft of vehicle parts: 1:10 p.m., 4118 B Place NW. Somebody stole two batteries from a truck.
Nov. 13
Fraud: 2 p.m., 6300 block of Stuart Place Southeast. Somebody made an Auburn woman the victim of a bogus IRS scam.
Nov. 16
Theft: 1:30 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Somebody stole a man’s bag while he was at an undisclosed business.
