Aug. 22

Shoplifting: 1:19 p.m., 700 block of Supermall Drive Southwest. Two females unknown returned to an undisclosed store several items they had concealed in a bag to bypass cash registers.

Aug. 25

Trespassing: 2:07 p.m., 1101 Supermall Drive SW. Exactly what the man did police kept to themselves, but it obviously reached such a level of unacceptability and downright badness that it got him booted from the SuperMall with the stinging order, “And don’t come back.”

Trespassing: 5:06 p.m., 1420 Harvey Road NE. Starbucks gave an obnoxious customer the bum’s rush.

Aug. 26

Controlled Substance: 1:38 a.m., 5100 block of D Street Northwest. Illegal substance, purse theft, that’s all.

Aug. 29

Theft: Overnight, 1801 West Valley Highway N. Thieves slurped up gasoline from two work vans.

Theft: Overnight, 110 block of O Street Northeast. Somebody took advantage of the cover of darkness to steal a laptop computer from a vehicle.

Theft: 9:35 p.m., 29627 Green River Road SE. A thief swiped a purse from a vehicle at Isaac Evans Park.

Aug. 30

Auto theft: 12:05 p.m., 22 A St. NW. A Sun Break Cafe employee called to complain that sometime between breakfast and lunch, somebody had stolen her vehicle from the parking lot just outside the restaurant.

Trespassing: 1:43 p.m., 1300 block of Auburn Way N. Having found a woman’s $600 cell phone, a female said she would only give it back to the woman in exchange for money. The victim called police and was instructed to set up a meeting to buy the phone back at a negotiated price of $350. Police stood by when the suspect arrived at the pre-set location, which was the woman’s place of work. The woman got her phone back but did not want to press charges. The suspect was trespassed from her intended victim’s workplace.

Petrol suckers: Overnight, 1929 West Valley Highway S. Persons unknown siphoned off the gas from 10 vehicles at Peltram Plumbing.

Hit and run: 2:06 p.m., 1200 block of East Main Street. A woman had been riding her bicycle when a black 1998 Pontiac Grand Am four-door struck her before leaving the area at a high rate of speed.

Sept. 1

Theft: 6:14 a.m., 2100 block of Auburn Way South. Somebody broke into a man’s vehicle and stole a backpack with multiple undisclosed items inside of it worth undisclosed amounts.

Strong arm robbery: 4:05 a.m., 800 Auburn Way N. A group of kids stole $15 from a man and took his KFC chicken, too.
