Auburn schools plan to surpass the 52,000-plus pounds of food collected in last year’s food drive. Auburn schools also are collecting monetary donations for families and people in need in the Auburn community.

All food and proceeds will be donated to the Auburn Food Bank.

Local restaurants will donate free lunches to the winning classes in each school. Additionally, the school to bring in the most food at the elementary, middle and high school levels will receive a trophy and be recognized at the Auburn Food Bank’s annual Harvest Breakfast in the fall.
