All Auburn School District elementary schools will host kindergarten round-up orientation activities for incoming kindergarteners and their families for the 2010-11 school year.

The schedule is as follows:

• Alpac: May 20, 6:30 p.m.

• Arthur Jacobsen: April 21, 6:30 p.m.

• Chinook: May 20, 6 p.m.

• Dick Scobee: April 21, 6 p.m.

• Evergreen Heights: April 22, 6 p.m.

• Gildo Rey: May 5, 3:30 p.m.

• Hazelwood: May 12, 3:30 p.m.

• Ilalko: April 14, 8 a.m.

• Lake View: May 13, 4:30 p.m.

• Lakeland Hills: April 28, 3:30 p.m.

• Lea Hill: May 13, 4 p.m.

• Pioneer: March 23, 3:30 p.m.

• Terminal Park: April 20, 4 p.m.

• Washington: May 5, 3:15 p.m.

Kindergarten registration for the 2010-2011 school year began on April 12. Elementary schools are open for registration between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily.

At the time of registration, please bring your child’s official birth certificate. In accordance with State law, parents must present up-to-date immunization information before registering their child(ren) in school.

Required immunizations include:

• MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) – 2 doses 1st dose on or after first birthday; 2nd dose at least 28 days after 1st dose

• DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis) – 4 doses if last dose is on or after fourth birthday

• Polio: 3 doses if last dose is on or after fourth birthday; 4 doses if all doses are before fourth birthday;

• Hepatitis B (3-shot series)

• Varicella (chicken pox) – 2 doses 1st dose on or after first birthday; blood titer or medical provider diagnosis is needed for verification of disease
