The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 329 calls for service between June 17 and June 23, among them the following.
June 17
Aid call: 2:09 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a man who was complaining of altered mental status. Firefighters assessed the man on scene before transporting him to a local hospital for further definitive care.
June 18
Aid call: 8:50 a.m. (Auburn). Firefighters who responded to a girl who complained of knee pain arrived to find she had dislocated her knee. She explained that she had been sitting and moved her leg to the side, but her dress was tightly wrapped underneath of her. The girl’s mother arrived to transport her to a local hospital.
June 19
Aid call: 5:54 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics responded to two men who had reportedly overdosed. The first guy was pulseless on arrival, and despite multiple rounds of CPR, he could not be revived. The second man regained consciousness after receiving naloxone and was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for continued care.
Aid call: 7:33 a.m. (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters and King County Medic One paramedics responded to an Auburn senior citizen who’d been found unconscious and unresponsive. Firefighters and paramedics treated the guy at the scene, and then Airlift Northwest transported him to Auburn Municipal Airport to airlift him to Harborview Medical Center.
June 20
Aid call: 1:18 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters treated a teenage boy with a hand injury caused by fireworks, and a private ambulance transported him to Mary Bridge Hospital.
June 21
Aid call: 6:53 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a man who was complaining of dizziness and weakness. The man had recently returned from a multi-day hiking trip and suspected he was not adequately hydrated. He was transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center by private ambulance for further evaluation.
June 22
Aid call: 10:05 p.m. (Auburn). Firefighters and King County paramedics treated a man in cardiac arrest, and transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center for further treatment.
June 23
Aid call: 11:36 a.m. (Auburn). Firefighters treated a woman who was complaining of a decreased level of consciousness, and then transported her to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.
