The Auburn Symphony Orchestra announced its 2022-2023 schedule packed with concerts at the Auburn Performing Arts Center and a variety of other venues.
Their season includes four classical programs, two chamber concerts, three summer concerts and several other concerts in the Auburn area. This is the orchestra’s 26th season and its fifth season with music director Wesley Schulz.
As the orchestra’s music director, Schulz has worked to expand the orchestra’s catalog to feature more music from women and people of color, according to the orchestra.
The Auburn Symphony Orchestra recently partnered with New Music USA’s Amplifying Voices program. Amplifying Voices works to create a more equitable representation of composers in classical music.
As part of the program, the Auburn Symphony Orchestra will be performing the premiere of Cuban-American composer Tania León at the Auburn Performing Arts Center. León is a Pulitzer Prize-winning composer.
The orchestra is now offering package deals for tickets to six concerts for the price of five online at Auburnsymphony.org.
