Auburn to host 4th annual Community Disaster Preparedness Fair on Saturday

The City of Auburn Emergency Management Office is promoting National Disaster Preparedness month by hosting Auburn's fourth annual Community Disaster Preparedness Fair on Saturday, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Les Gove Community Campus in Auburn.

The City of Auburn Emergency Management Office is promoting National Disaster Preparedness month by hosting Auburn’s fourth annual Community Disaster Preparedness Fair on Saturday, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Les Gove Community Campus in Auburn.

The City of Auburn and the White River Valley Citizen Corps Council are sponsoring the fair.

This event features disaster preparedness information, ideas, demonstrations and supplies. There will be activities, including informational booths, vendor booths, disaster response demonstrations, hands-on activities for kids and adults and preparedness information. Door prizes will be given away hourly.

Experts will also be on-hand to discuss issues surrounding potential flooding from the Green River and to provide information to businesses regarding contingency and continuity planning. Vendors also will be selling NOAA Weather Radios in conjunction with National Weather Radio Awareness month. Parking is available at 12th Street Southeast and J Street Southeast.
