On Saturday, from a.m. to 3:30 p.m. intermittent closures to the right eastbound lane on 8th Street Northeast between M Street NE/Harvey Road and R Street NE may be required to allow crews to repair a water line that was damaged when a vehicle struck a fire hydrant last week.

Permanent repair work to the sidewalk and street will be required and is anticipated to occur next week. Additional traffic advisories will be developed as the work is scheduled. This work is not dependent on weather.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction and some delays may be necessary.
