Auggie Smith, 2010 winner of the 31st annual Seattle International Comedy Competition, headlines the Comedy at the Ave Series on Friday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. Smith will join two other comedians.
Last November, Smith performed at the Ave as part of the competition, which he then went on to win. He then won the San Francisco Comedy Competition, becoming the only comedian so far to do both in one year.
When Smith takes the stage, audiences quickly realize that they’re in for an evening of riveting, take-no-prisoners stand-up comedy. During Smith’s set, pop culture and political targets are dissected piece by piece into intelligently written manic rants.
Smith’s seamless rapid-fire style has developed a loyal following across the country. He has spent most of the last two decades keeping a constant road schedule honing his craft and creating a truly memorable, relevant and constantly evolving live experience.
