The Auburn Valley Humane Society hosts its eighth annual AVHS Gala & Auction on Saturday, May 30 to benefit the animals and help change lives.
Proceeds from the Party for Paws will help lost, abandoned and homeless animals at the Auburn shelter.
The event – which runs from 5 to 9:30 pm at Green River College, Lindbloom Center, 12401 SE 320th St., Auburn – looks to generate $130,000 to support animal sheltering and programs, humane education and human services.
Three-hundred supporters, sponsors and businesses will celebrate the AVHS’ work and accomplishments during the past year.
The AVHS has adopted nearly 10,000 animals in the past seven years and reunited 1,875 animals with their pet owners. Its live release rate remains at 98 percent, which means that 98 out of 100 leave the shelter.
This year, the AVHS anticipates to save more than 2,700 animals, changing the lives of more than 4,500 people, and supporting more than 600 animals to thrive in its foster program.
Enjoy silent and live auction items, a balloon pop, photo booth, raffle tickets, a sit-down dinner, dessert dash, fund-a-need and other activities.
Ticket prices are between $75 and $100. Register by March 15 to receive a discount. It is a casual affair.
