The annual Barber’s Roundup distributed school supplies and clothing to hundreds of needy kids at Game Farm Park last Saturday.
Auburn businesses donated the free school supplies and clothes.
In addition, Auburn’s Into Community Events (ICE Ministry) provided all-comers with free cotton candy, popcorn, hot dogs and entertainment, including bouncy toys and a dunk tank.
“I’m still floating on Cloud 9. I feel so blessed,” organizer Cynthia Lozier said.
The turnout for the event was so great that Lozier said she ran out of items and is still collecting for those that didn’t receive any. “I was able to get all the school supplies I needed over the weekend, except crayons and a hundred backpacks.”
Lozier added that anyone willing to contribute to help fill the gap could call her at 253-394-1966.
