Doxon Toyota presented a $10,000 donation to the Auburn Valley YMCA last Friday in its dealership showroom.

Doxon Toyota – one of the primary sponsors of the recent EMD3-on-3 basketball tournament at Emerald Downs – made the sizable contribution to the

Y on behalf of the tourney. This year’s event benefitted the Y, a nonprofit organization.

According to Jason Berry, the Y’s executive director, the money will support youth sports scholarships.

“It’s a wonderful, excellent three-way partnership,” Berry said of the Doxon Toyota, Emerald Downs and Y connection. “It’s a win-win situation for all.”

The second annual tournament attracted 236 teams and record attendance, including an estimated 4,000 spectators to the finals on Aug. 10.
