Algona resident Brandon Suhr pleaded guilty in a King County Superior Court on Monday to the first-degree murder of Pacific teen Walter Denesha.

Prosecutors are expected to seek a 30-year prison sentence when Suhr is sentenced in June. Suhr, 20, also pleaded guilty to first-degree burglary.

According to police, Suhr broke into the Denesha family apartment at Cobble Court Apartments in Pacific on June 1, 2012.

Angry that Denesha’s older sister had recently broken up with him, Suhr stabbed the 13-year-old to death, stuffed his body into a closet and forced the older sister to write a note claiming responsibility for the death.

Suhr then kidnapped the girl and took her to his house where he was later arrested.
