An all-day family retreat sponsored by GriefWorks will be held at White River Presbyterian Church in Auburn on Dec. 6. Camp GriefWorks is for families with children, ages 5-18, who have had a family member or friend die in the past two years.

Camp GriefWorks will include separate groups for adults and children, each facilitated by bereavement specialists from GriefWorks. Adult groups will focus on parenting children who are experiencing grief, while being aware of their own concurrent adult grief. Children will participate in holiday memorial art activities, storytelling, and will have mementos to take home.

Participants are to bring sack lunches. Beverages and snacks will be provided.

• Cost: $20 per person. Sliding fee and some scholarships are available. Space is limited.
