The Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce, WorkSource Auburn and the City of Auburn present the second annual Spirit of Hiring Business Expo at the Auburn Community and Event Center on Friday, Oct. 21, from 3 to 7:30 p.m.

The full-service expo will offer the latest products, services and technologies by local and regional companies. Businesses will sell products and exhibit services. Job seekers will find more than 70 businesses from throughout the region, representing business sectors looking to hire seasonal and full-time employees.

“There are various reasons why we, as the chamber, decided to start these quarterly expos, though the main reason is workforce development,” said Julia Jordan, chamber president and CEO. “Equally important is engaging and helping our local community find employment and services close to home.

“Our last expo brought more than 500 attendees, and we are looking to double that number,” she said. “We will be giving away several door prizes (no purchase necessary) throughout the afternoon, courtesy of our chamber partners.”

Businesses are encouraged to dress their booths for Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas to win prizes.

Admission is free. The center is on the Les Gove campus, 910 Ninth St SE.
