A golf tournament aimed at raising money for a local child abuse and domestic violence program is looking for players and sponsors for its third annual event.

A golf tournament aimed at raising money for a local child abuse and domestic violence program is looking for players and sponsors for its third annual event.

The Scramble for Safe Families Charity Golf Tournament tees off at 1 p.m. Sept. 14 at The Washington National Golf Club, 14330 SE Husky Way, Auburn.

Events include a four-person scramble, a hole-in-one contest, a putting contest, banquet, silent auction, raffles and awards.

Entries must be received by Wednesday, Sept. 4.

The entry fee for players is $120 for an individual or $480 for a four-person team.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Jennifer Beach Foundation, which provides education, advocacy and assistance to the community addressing issues related to child abuse and domestic violence.

In addition to providing advocacy-base counseling for clients, the foundation’s programs include financial literacy classes for survivors of domestic violence, Kid’s Club for children that have been raised in a domestic violent environment, and teen violence awareness and prevention programs.

All services and programs are available without cost to clients.

A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available for companies and individuals that would like to support the event.
