The public is invited to come for lunch at the second annual Empty Bowls Event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Community Church, 1320 Auburn Way S.

For a small donation – $15 a bowl – event participants will get a handcrafted bowl made by local artisans to keep and lunch provided by Auburn area restaurants and schools.

Proceeds benefit the Auburn Food Bank.

Last year’s event raised nearly $8,000.

Empty Bowls, an international grassroots effort to fight hunger, was created by The Imagine Render Group.
