Auburn police responded to the following calls for service between July 22 and July 19:
JULY 22
Washed out: 9:37 a.m., 4300 A St. S.E. A woman found passed out at the Elephant Car Wash got herself arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and a Pierce County warrant for third-degree theft.
Assault: 5:50 p.m., 28900 block of 144th Avenue Southeast. Police arrested a woman after she slammed a door on her husband twice during an argument.
JULY 21
Vandalism: 7:39 a.m., 600 block of 37th Street Southeast. In the colorful terminology of police reportage, a vandalism occurred.
Theft: 4:51 p.m., 2900 block of Auburn Way South. There was an occurrence of theft, different from the aforementioned occurrence of vandalism, but described in equally enlightening terms.
Scooter filcher: 2 p.m., 1700 block of Auburn Way North. A boy told police that another boy he did not know tried to rob him of his scooter. He said the would-be thief approached, pushed him and struggled to wrest his wheels away. Unwilling to part with his wheeled treasure, however, the kid belted the bad boy, who beat it empty-handed.
Burglary: 5:30 p.m., 4200 block of A Street Southeast. Somebody entered a man’s mobile home through a window near his desk and stole his laptop computer.
Beer boosting: 9:45 p.m., 1702 Auburn Way N. Police arrested a boy for third-degree thievery and being a minor in possession of a fermented beverage after he was seen swiping two cans of Steel Reserve High Gravity Malt Liquor.
JULY 20
Burglary: Midnight, 500 block of M Street Southeast. A family left for the weekend and returned home to find their apartment door ajar and three cell phones missing.
JULY 19
Burglary: Overnight, 2400 block of I Street Northeast. A man told police that while he was away from home, somebody stole $750 worth of undisclosed property. As no forced entrance was made, the guy suspects an acquaintance might have obtained a copy of his door key.
