Construction will begin this month on the Olympic Middle School Pedestrian Improvements project. Daytime lane closures on H Street Southeast adjacent to the school and traffic delays in the project area should be anticipated.

Project should be completed by early September. The project will construct crosswalks, flashing beacon signs and an asphalt path along the east side of H Street SE adjacent to the school.

The City of Auburn has contracted with Rodarte Construction to construct the project and is committed to completing the work with as little inconvenience as possible.

However, there might be additional noise, temporary parking problems and traffic disruptions along the construction routes and near the site.

Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained.
