The Daughters of the American Revolution recently presented the Good Citizenship Award to Ben Garcia, a 2013 Auburn High School graduate.

Garcia received the award for his honor, service, courage, leadership, patriotism and for his Boy Scout Troop 341 Eagle Scout project, for which he researched and made three bat houses and restored benches at Neely Mansion.

Hilda Meryhew, WSSDAR state historian and national defense chairman, Lakota Chapter, Auburn, presented the honor.
