Detectives looking for robber, kidnapping victim

King County Sheriff detectives are looking for an armed robber who held up a 7-Eleven store at gunpoint, then dragged a woman from the counter and out to the parking lot before releasing her.

The woman was released unharmed. Unfortunately, she kept going and Sheriffs detectives still need to talk with her.

The incident occurred about 2:25 a.m. Wednesday, at the 7-Eleven located at 34051 Military Road S. in unincorporated King County, east of Federal Way.

The robber held the clerk at gunpoint and forced her to empty two cash registers as the customer, standing at the counter, looked on. When the robber left he grabbed the customer around the neck in a choke hold, pistol in his other hand, and dragged her out of the business.

The woman was pulled two-thirds of the way across the parking lot before she was released. The suspect ran off and the woman did not come back into the store.

The man with the gun was described as Asian or Pacific Islander, about 5-foot-6 and weighing more than 200 pounds. He was wearing a blue BB hat, black sunglasses, dark sweatshirt, dark pants and black gloves. He was about 25 years old.

The kidnapped victim was also about 25 years old, perhaps 5-foot-4 and 120 pounds.

If anyone recognizes either the suspect or the victim they are asked to call the Sheriffs Office at 206 296-3311 (24 hours) or 911.
